Miracle Heights Adventures -FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re proud to offer Winston-Salem’s only ropes courses, located on Reynolda Road with a view of the downtown skyline. Our courses include a 33-element Aerial Adventure Park, an Aerial Teams Course—one of only two worldwide—and an 10-element low ropes course, all designed for different types of challenges and group goals.

Our Aerial Adventure Park features two levels packed with excitement: a 600-foot zipline, a Giant Swing, two climbing walls, and a QuickFlight, along with dozens of unique bridges and cable elements. Our Aerial Teams Course provides collaborative challenges that encourage communication and teamwork. Additionally, our low ropes elements allow us to customize experiences based on your group’s objectives.

With a large pavilion and indoor spaces for meetings and dining, we have everything you need for a memorable and engaging experience.

We design our team-building programs to include everyone, with a few safety guidelines in place:

Weight Limit: 300 pounds for the Adventure Park and Aerial Teams Course (ATC).

Minimum Age: We welcome participants ages 4 and up. However, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Health and Mobility: Participants should be able to climb a ladder and be free of any medical conditions (including pregnancy) that could be affected by physical activity.

For those who prefer to stay on the ground, our low ropes course and the ATC allow for meaningful team participation without requiring aerial elements.

Absolutely! We host several public ropes course days throughout the year, perfect for individual visitors or small groups. If you’d like a private experience, we can also arrange a tour for parties of six or more—just reach out to us to plan your adventure!

Come dressed for outdoor adventure! Here are a few important guidelines:

Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are required. Sandals like Chacos or Tevas are not allowed.

Clothing: Wear clothes that you’re comfortable moving in, and that can handle a bit of dirt or sweat. Pants or long shorts are generally more comfortable under the harness, which fits snugly around the waist and thighs.

Accessories: Tie back long hair, avoid dangling jewelry, and ensure that nothing you wear interferes with the fit or safe operation of your gear.

We’ll provide a harness and helmet at the course. If staff considers any clothing potentially unsafe or unsuitable for proper gear fitting, you may not be allowed on the course. Since there are no dressing rooms on site, please arrive dressed and ready. You can store personal belongings at the pavilion for safekeeping.

Our events operate rain or shine, so please dress for the weather in Winston-Salem, NC. If severe weather should hit – including thunder, lightning, and sustained winds over 20 mph – your event will need to be rescheduled for safety.

All participants need a signed waiver, which can be completed online. Participants under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature.

Please bring a water bottle—we have refill stations on site. Any other personal items should be left at the bottom of the course for safekeeping. For larger belongings, we recommend leaving them in a secure place before you arrive.

There is inherent risk involved in high ropes activities. However, our course and gear are inspected by trained professionals on a daily, monthly, and annual basis by an ACCT vendor. We recognize what is at stake with these activities and hold safety as a top priority. Our staff receives monthly in-service skills testing to ensure they are following best practices.

We know that your plans may change and that emergencies happen. We require written notice of cancellation at least 7 days prior to the scheduled program date. If a cancellation is made within 7 days of the event, a cancellation fee of 20% of the total cost will apply.
If Crossnore cancels a program due to weather conditions (such as lightning, high winds, or extreme cold) or other unforeseen circumstances, participants may reschedule for another available date or time.

Great question! We understand that “culture eats strategy for breakfast”—team dynamics are crucial. Our programs are rooted in organizational development and resilience research, focusing on building thriving, adaptable teams. Through experiential activities, we emphasize goal-setting, strengthening interpersonal relationships, clarifying roles, and enhancing problem-solving skills. These elements work together to boost team productivity, morale, and the capacity to face challenges with confidence.

”Challenge by Choice” is one of the core foundations for our team. This means that no one will be forced into doing something they do not want to do. We believe in the incredible outcomes that happen when challenging ourselves – but we also know that what is considered challenging is different for each person. Our facilitators will be with you throughout your experience to encourage you and provide assistance as needed.

We would love to help meet those needs. We have extensive experience facilitating team bonding, team building, and team development opportunities that can take place in any location. Check out our Off-Site and Custom Packages if this is what you’re interested in.

We sure do! Some of our local favorites are LeanBack Soul Food, Camel City BBQ, The Porch, O’Brien’s Deli, and Burke Street Pizza. Pending availability, Crossnore’s Dietary Services can also provide bagged lunches for an additional fee.
