Robert Martin has been an organic metal designer for the last five years. His works include functional furniture, lamps, chandeliers, and wall sconces all hand wrought with a certain whimsy to the pieces. Rob has designed and installed his creations in Charlotte restaurants and office buildings. He also teaches metal working classes at Mayland Community College.
Robert lived on the campus of Crossnore School, Inc. when his father was the director of the school and his mother taught at Crossnore Elementary. He is a graduate of Wofford College and has studied and taught abroad in France, Italy, and Spain.
