Norm is the beloved dog of Child and Family Therapist Supervisor, Betsy Neill. He is an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen and a Certified Therapy Dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs, which allows them to volunteer in the community as a therapy dog team. Norm is a gentle and sweet boy that loves to snuggle, give kisses, and make new friends. In his free time, Norm likes to chew on sticks, play fetch, and enjoy his mealtimes. Through Animal Assisted Therapy, Norm supports clients with building self-efficacy through task-completion, developing problem-solving skills, increasing tolerance for transitions and unpredictability, healing attachment wounds, increasing self-esteem, learning appropriate touch boundaries, improving empathy, and learning social skills.
