Dawn O’Malley serves as the Senior Director of Clinical Services, and has been with Crossnore since 2021. Dr. O’Malley is a North Carolina Licensed Psychologist and has more than 30 years of experience working with children and their families. She has led the implementation of trauma-informed care for multiple agencies specializing in both residential and community-based treatment. Dr. O’Malley is a frequent collaborator with public agencies including children’s advocacy groups and social services. She is a Mentor for the Child Trauma Academy, a non-profit organization dedicated to research and training on the effects of adverse experiences on the developing brain. As a Mentor of the Child Trauma Academy, Dr. O’Malley serves as a Trainer and Mentor to clinicians engaged in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics certification process. She has worked in past leadership roles where she led the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines and multi-agency collaboration projects designed to improve quality of care for clients. Dr. O’Malley holds a Doctorate of clinical psychology from Widener University.
